ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY TRIP
PITTSBURGH, PA
Chris and I planned a trip to Pittsburgh to see the Steelers play for our one year anniversary trip. We had an incredible time. I can't wait to go back.
1 &2 - I love torturing Chris with plane pics.
3 - Our fur babes at Mom's while we're away. Can't leave them out.
4 - Had to get in this photo op at the Pittsburgh airport.
Once we landed we hopped in a taxi and made our way to the gorgeous hotel we stayed in for the trip. The William Omni Penn Hotel was everything I could have hoped for and more. We grabbed a late lunch in one of the many restaurants.
Chris couldn't wait to see Heinz Field again. This was his 2nd trip to Pittsburgh for a game, and my first. Across the street from Heinz Field is Jerome Bettis' restaurant, Grille 36.
We watched the heart breaking Ole Miss/Auburn game there. We sat in the bar where there were a gazillion TVs playing any college football team game you wanted. Food is delish too.
We woke up the morning of our Anniversary and exchanged gifts. Chris surprised me with a beautiful diamond necklace and I got him a PS4. Of course, I couldn't travel with my gift so I put the following pic in with his card.
We went a little overboard with gifts for our first anniversary, but hey you only live once.
Our anniversary also was game day baby. After breakfast in the hotel we relaxed in a room for a bit before heading out in the cold temps to stadium area. We took the subway to Heinz Field and walked around. We grabbed lunch near the stadium too. We were both pumped and excited for the game. Chris even haggled with a scalper and upgraded our seats. I was scared we were going to get ripped off, but it was so worth it.
1. We took the Subway back to Heinz Field for more souvenir shopping.
2. Loving the fall colors
3. Chilling with Mr. Rogers
4. Chris and the Pittsburgh skyline
Love this city and this trip. One year of marriage down and 80 more to come. Love my life and sweet Husband who spoils me.
